Big Grin Minimize Me of Myself
'If everyone would come after me, he must deny himself and simply take up his cross and follow me. For whoever wants to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for me and for the gospel will save it. What good is it for a man to get the whole world, yet forfeit his soul'? Mark 8: 34-36, NIV

This has been a long arduous summer and yet therefore fully alive with all the current possibilites that God has shown me. I'm fast approaching the almost completed process of co-authoring a book on natural dog health with a holistic doctor, released out a new product line with Saving Grace Enterprises, and ramping up for an on the web meeting with vets, doctors, etc., to help train on ending a superbug staph disease. Now this all seems sort of serious right? Well perhaps not according to what God is telling me all week!

Last Sunday in-service, our pastor had an extremely interesting sermon on Psalm 2-3 once we closed out a series on The Godward Heart. We have all seen and read that psalm because we were children most likely, whichever Christian religion we are. However, I've never noticed it presented like this and that is almost certainly why it resonated so fully with me. I'd like to do my usual roundabout means of addressing the purpose here...

Psalm 2-3 is all about the Shepard and His sheep, right? Understanding what a shepard's work was and how h-e went about this in Jesus' day is what got my attention. Whoever has read my articles here understand that I'm not really a pet lover but my business is a business in natural pet care. When our pastor started describing how a shepard cares for his sheep and what methods he uses, I felt like God was sitting close to me and whispering in my head and it sent shivers up my spine in a most pleasant way!

I've wondered for a very long time how God could use me in an all-natural pet care business. He Then brought me along with Dee Kreidel and Saving Grace Enterprises to generate our new product line-in custom hand-tooled leather collars, leads and publications. Huh I said? How does that choose normal pet care Lord? I got an appealing solution Sunday AND one which said never to take myself so seriously. I'll get to all-that in somewhat.

The shepard had a staff (all of us know that) that was about 5 or 6 ft high I believe our pastor said. It had the land at the end all of us learn about and that has been to keep sheep collected in and not wandering. To check up additional info, please check-out: indexquill0 on Genius. Sound familiar? Ever wonder why God refers to us as sheep? It is not a flattering statement because they're not the brightest animals in creation, and they require constant tending and direction. The shepard also carried a baton concerning the size of what our police officers carry today. He'd use that to fend off attacking predators. H-e also used it for something a bit more severe.

If one sheep was continually wandering off and perhaps not learning to stay with the herd, the shepard would use the baton to split one or two of this sheep's legs and then quickly set them. Then he had take that sheep around his neck until he was entirely recovered. The purpose? For the sheep to become influenced by the shepard for all its needs and to bond fully with him. Again, God does the sam-e to His children.

Another interesting point the shepard could do is to put oil o-n each sheep's head and also human body to defend against pests (ticks, clicks, flies, the usual suspects). Now the oil referred to is not your vegetable cooking oil as that will not reduce the chances of insects. No it had been what we now know as crucial oils (which by the way still are employed extensively because the main world for their therapeutic benefits and fast growing within the UNITED STATES) combined with most-likely coconut oil. The oils served still another purpose also. Lamb are silly and get angry with each other over anything (again like us). When they did get angry, they had go charging into each other to butt heads so very hard that they can destroy each other. With all the oil on their minds, it would help them to skid off each other keeping them from killing each other.

Yep, I'm getting to the pet organization with Dee and the 'serious stuff.' So for his own protection the shepard would take a large leather poncho he'd wear throughout inclement weather and also use as a 'pup tent' of sorts to sleep in. So we've got Dee's leather goods and my essential oils from your dog business. Hmmm. Be taught more on tell us what you think by visiting our splendid URL. Leather was the Shepard's defense. Gas throughout the Bible is representative of the Holy Spirit. H-e uses animals as types of us. Is someone else 'seeing' this? God will definitely use whichever, wherever, whoever for His purpose and beauty if we only obtain the heck out of the way. Be relieved of ourselves to ensure that Jesus could reign and work. He'll protect us and He will give us.

Here was what was so interesting if you ask me when our pastor got to the Three Points of Ap-plication part:

1. If people hate to discover more on here's the site, there are many databases you might pursue. As the Shepard is in get a grip on, I dont have to simply take myself so seriously. It is ALL about Him. This does not mean to not get ISSUES on the planet seriously because we should. To explore more, you are encouraged to peep at: privacy. This means to not get OURSELVES so seriously. If we do keep taking ourselves so seriously, then that's actually internalized pride and wrong thinking grounded in the inability to submit.

2. Because the Shepard cares, I can release my burdens to Him. Matthew 11:28, 1 Peter 5:7.

3. Because the Shepard is qualified, I can trust Him to guide my life.

God said in no uncertain terms not simply WHAT I'm likely to be doing but also WHY, and HOW all of it tied in with WHO He's. What H-e did not tell me was WHEN. Leave it to Him to keep tempering and teaching as He goes about His purpose.

On Tuesday or Wednesday after this fascinating sermon on Sunday, John Fischer of the Purpose Driven Life wrote this in his devotional Acquittal by Penguin the next paragraph:

'This isn't to say that any behavior in the natural kingdom legitimizes similar activity among human beings, but I really do think God has given us animals to mirror human behavior, and help us see ourselves in another light and not take ourselves or our jobs therefore seriously. ' (italics mine)

Hey, do you think God is trying to tell me anything? So then I was playing some contemporary Christian music on Thursday while doing my housework. I used to be playing Jennifer Knapp's CD, Lay it Down, and the track 'In-to You' came o-n. The words in the chorus 'relieve me of myself, bring me in to You' just caught out like a sore thumb and I have listened to that song a variety of times. I KNOW God was telling me to take a chill pill, lay it down, trust Him, don't take myself so seriously, He's an objective for the work I am doing so allow Him to work, be relieved of myself, depend on Him and just enjoy the trip! WHEW! What a journey too brethren. So if anyone gets too 'puffed up' maybe we all just need to get over ourselves and rest inside the Shepard. I sure don't wish to have to master the hard way and simply take a 2X4 baton!.
